I have had several of you sweet friends ask about Super Bowl foods, so I thought I would just let you know our menu plan for Sunday. My husband is a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, so of course my son has jumped on board and is obsessed. We will for sure be wearing our red that day!
I love appetizers! In fact, I could just live off of an assortment of them, but it has been my experience that when I am just making appetizers and nothing else for football parties, I spend more time in the kitchen than intended. I always feel like I have to have lots of them since it is replacing a main course. Therefore, for me, just making a dinner meal seems much easier and a whole lot quicker.
I have shared this cheese ball recipe with you before, but will attach it again below in a PDF file for you to print. It is our favorite. The only difference I made here is, obviously, doing my best to make a football shape and then cutting a white cheese for the “threading”.
I simply plan to make this cheeseball and then have taco soup and a large tossed salad. Nothing super fancy and all very easy to throw together. For dessert, I plan to make a “Better Than Anything” cake. These are super easy to make and so delicious! You can quickly find hundreds of those recipes on Pinterest.
And aren’t these fun for the kids!? No baking or preparing involved. Just open the bag and dump on a platter.
So there you have it… I told you it would be super simple. And I need you friends to do me a favor and when you are saying your prayers this week, can you offer one up for our Chiefs!? Haha! As the fans like to say “GOOOO CHIEEEEEEFS!”
