Pretzel Rods and Free Winter Tag

Who wants a free tag to bless someone with what seems like the dreariest month of all in my opinion!? It has been nice getting back in a routine and schedule and I do love the reorganizing and cleaning out that January can bring, but I can’t say it’s my favorite month either.  Lol.

I always love making white chocolate pretzel rods for holidays.  I had bought the ingredients and had good intentions of making some over Christmas and it just never happened.  So, I thought January would be a great month to add a little sunshine to someones day.  These things are SO good!  I ate several while making them and my kids were so excited to see them after school.  I have always loved a salty and sweet combination.

All you need are the pretzels, almond bark and sprinkles.  These are so fun because you can customize the chocolate color and sprinkles for any holiday or celebration.  Last year I made some for Valentine’s with the red and pink Wilton chocolate melts and Valentine sprinkles.

Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals.  Be sure to stir it between every interval.  If it stays in one place, it’s been my experience that it will burn.  You just have to move it around.  Sometimes I will add a tiny bit of oil to make the consistency a bit thinner.  I usually always melt mine in mason jars.  I then added the melted dark chocolate to a piping bag to drizzle.  This is totally optional.  Just be sure to add your sprinkles while chocolate is still wet so it sticks well.

I found these adorable snowflake bags at The Dollar Tree back in December.  I bought them with January in mind.  I plan to place the pretzel rods in clear bags and then place inside the snowflake bag with the tags.  I hope you enjoy the tags!  I would love for you to tag me if you use them.  I always love to see what you guys come up with as well!
