Table Top Tuesday: Mother’s Day Inspiration

Happy Tabletop Tuesday!  One of my favorite things to do is probably style a table.  I love it so much and I really love shopping for tablescapes.  I have a huge collection of table cloths, runners, dishes, vases, chargers, etc.  If this is something you enjoy too, I want to encourage you to do 2 things.

The first thing is ask your mom or grandmother for things maybe that they just don’t use anymore.  My mom used to do a ton of entertaining.  I remember people in and out of our home on a regular basis growing up.  I think this is probably where my love for it all grew.  I definitely get it from my momma!  So as you can imagine, her collection has grown a bit over the years and there were things she just didn’t use or need anymore and gave to me.  I love hand-me-downs!  I’ll take them all day!  She has even given me things of my grandmothers, such as this tablecloth and silverware.  I cherish these!!!

Another thing I would encourage you to do is shop antique malls or flea markets.  The floral dinner plate, tulip candle holders and tea cup/saucer you see are antique store finds.  Some antique and flea markets can be very expensive, but sometimes you will find them to be very reasonable as well.  I love shopping these because you can often find some of the most unique pieces here.

Another idea I had for your Mother’s Day table is adding little pictures of your mother, grandmother, great grandmothers down the center or even small ones at place settings.  Wouldn’t that be such a sweet reminder of how blessed we are to have or have had them in our lives!?

Have a wonderful Tuesday, friends!  I want to encourage you to follow me on Instagram if you don’t already.  Also, if you caught my IG stories yesterday you know that I am collaborating with Airica Puckett for Mother’s Day inspiration throughout the week and even a fun giveaway this weekend.  If you don’t already follow her on IG, be sure to do so at airicapuckettstyle.  We will be working together all week to help you with your Mother’s Day weekend.  I will see y’all tomorrow for Whip It Up Wednesday.  I plan to share an “oldie” but a “goodie”!

  1. This is just lovely!! Everything about this table says mother and femininity. I have a floral tablecloth that I’ve always called my “Mother’s Day cloth” because I use it for MD. It’s very similar to yours here. Thanks for sharing your tables!
