Whip It Up Wednesday: Kentucky Derby Pies

Happy Whip It Up Wednesday!  Today I am sharing a recipe that my mom has been making for as long as I can remember.  It has been a constant favorite in the family and a super simple one with very few ingredients.  I make these a lot because it seems that these are ingredients that I always keep on hand, so it’s often been one of those last-minute desserts I needed if family or friends were dropping in and it really takes no time at all to make.  I also thought it was perfect timing to share  since the Kentucky Derby is right around the corner.

My mom has always made this in a traditional pie crust, which is how we usually make it too, but I thought it would be fun to make mini ones this time to pass out to friends. These are soooo delicious right out of the oven and served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.  I will add the recipe in a PDF for you to print below.

Let me know if you try them.  Love you all and have a wonderful rest of your week!
