St. Patrick’s Day Pops

Happy Fri-Yay!!!  So here’s a fun one for ya and one I’m sure we’ve all made in some kind of version at some point.  It’s a Rice Krispie treat basically, except a Lucky Charms version.  I thought this would be something super easy and fun for you to make over the weekend since St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner.  This is a great one for the kids to help with.  Here’s all you need…

3 TBS butter

1 (10oz.) bag of marshmallows

8 cups cereal – I used the St Patrick’s Day version of Lucky Charms.  I think the original version would be cute too!

In a large microwavable bowl, melt butter.  Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.  May need to add back to microwave for a few seconds.  Add cereal and toss well.  *Spray your hands with PAM and do not skip this part or you will have a mess on your hands.  haha!!  Then form your balls and pack well.  Insert your popsicle stick and voila!  You’ve got yourself a St. Patrick’s Day Pop!  This recipe made 5 large pops for me, so depending on how many you need, you may want to double the recipe.  You could easily just make smaller balls.

These “pops” can be customized for any holiday!  I made something similar to these in a popcorn ball with M&Ms for the Fourth of July.  As you can see, this was a few years ago and we added melted chocolate and sprinkles.  The options are really endless with these!

I pray you all have a wonderful weekend!  We are praying our baseball game is not rained out again.  Praying for you all!  Have the best day!
