It’s Fri-Yay and y’all know I love me some weekends, so this momma is doing a lil jig! We really, really love a movie night on Fridays and I try to make them happen as often as possible. We always order pizza. I may or may not throw a salad together, depending on my energy level. Ha! I tell the kids to grab their sleeping bags and we make pallets in the floor of our basement. I know they won’t always feel the way I do about a lazy Friday night, but until then I am soaking them up. They think this is soooo much fun! And they always know I will make a fun snack, even if that just means popping popcorn and throwing some M&Ms or for this month, candy corn in the popcorn mix.
I found “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” at Target for $8. I knew I could find it on Amazon, but I love a DVD I can throw in the car for trips and I didn’t know it at the time, but after checking it was $12.99 on Amazon, so I’m glad I just bought it. And unfortunately, it was not on Netflix at the time. Grrrrr.
I found the plates and napkins at TJ Maxx a while back and you know when I see it, I just grab it. The Orange Crush I found at Big Lots.
The Rice Krispies and cookies are from Walmart. Remember, it doesn’t have to be homemade to bring big smiles. The black and white table runner is just wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby. It was so easy and so fun to throw together. My kids thought it was the best! Just a little planning and effort goes a long way. Plan and be intentional!
Have a great weekend! We are heading to visit my parents for the weekend and my kids are really excited! And I’m really excited I have this DVD to keep them entertained for the car ride. haha! Hugs, friends!
